General Waste

Household Waste bins

The large general waste bins at The Sorting House are located in the car park, accessible via the lifts or car park shutters. You’ll find them opposite the lift doors in the basement.

Please ensure that all waste going into these bins is bagged and tied securely.

Your General Waste bin is intended for non-recyclable items, such as:

  • Yogurt pots and food trays
  • Nappies
  • Coffee cups!
  • Bottle tops
  • Plastic bags
  • Film
  • Bubble wrap
  • Polystyrene

Please note: These bins are not to be used for builders’ waste, large domestic items, electrical appliances, batteries, or similar materials.

Leaseholders may incur a fine if they, or contractors working on their behalf, misuse the bins.

Builders’ waste

It is the sole responsibility of leaseholders undertaking any building work to arrange and cover the cost of disposing of builders’ waste off-site. This waste is not collected by local public waste services and should not be placed in the general waste bins.
